Well, I finally had my first cruise, and I loved it! It wasn’t exactly the perfect holiday. I mean, you have to deal with a lot of people all the time. Also, as much as I was warned about how much food there was, I was not prepared! There is a crazy amount of food, and all of it is excellent. I learned soon after arriving to stay away from the buffet and stick to the restaurant. People went too overboard at the buffet and the line was too long. The restaurant was nicer and far more relaxed.
Here are a couple of articles I have written since we got back. Click here for the first article, about whether or not a cruise is a good choice for a Honeymoon. My conclusion is that it isn’t the perfect choice for the honeymoon, but you can certainly make the best out of it. My other article (click here) is about what a cruise is really like. To be honest there were a few things I wasn’t expecting. For example, the huge lines to get on and off the cruise ship. On the positive side, sea sickness wasn’t as much as a factor as I thought it would be, nor were hurricanes. Both things were non-events.
I thoroughly recommend going on a cruise, but it’s a good idea to do a little research before you go. Those two articles, I think, are a good start. However, there is an unlimited amount of resources online, especially on the cruise discussion boards. Have fun!
